Thanks to
Austin Macauley Publishers, friends, family members, the ladies of my speaking
group, Talking Point, strangers and Ronald Colijin from Mundaring’s Café Mojo
for their wonderful support with the promotion and appreciation of ‘A Voice for
Rebekah’.
My
publisher’s response to my queries and additions to my website have been
immediate and their suggestions helpful. I have been guided by AM and
appreciate the assistance provided to me. My book has been one of four
showcased and noted as good a read on AM’s website. That said, going it alone
was never an option as, apart from writing my story, I would not know where to
start with promotion and producing a professional-looking website.
Friends’
and stranger comments have been positive and much appreciated. Ronald has
framed one of my posters and, judging by the photo he has sent me via Facebook,
it looks great. Thank you, Ronald. (Will pick up in a day or two.)
Family
members, particularly my husband Paul, have encouraged me throughout the
writing process, although I think they were beginning wonder if the book would
ever see the light of day.
Writing
took a while and the Covid virus in London delayed publication even further.
Anyway, my story is out there finally and I’m beginning to realise how much
work is involved in promoting it, even with my publisher’s assistance.
Publishing is a competitive industry and to receive recognition for a good
story takes a lot of effort, so I’m rolling my sleeves up and getting stuck in.
